Ford Closes In On NASCAR’s Manufacturer Championship

It was a big weekend for Ford and the #4 SHR car of Kevin Harvick, taking home back to back wins at Michigan International Speedway. While it was the fifth and sixth win this season for Harvick, it was also the 12th and 13th win for Ford (828 points) this season. Ford only needs one more win to clinch NASCAR’s Manufacturer Championship in the Cup Series for the 2020 racing season.  Chevrolet (725 points) with three wins and Toyota (770 points) with six wins are too far back to mount any type of real challenge at this point.

Chevrolet fans can still sleep well knowing that their 69 total NASCAR championship wins will secure them top spot in the history books for many years to come.
