1988 B2K Callaway Coupe Hits the Virtual Auction Block

Callaway Corvette

Over on what has become one of the best online car auction sites, Bring A Trailer, is a super clean 1988 Chevrolet Corvette with the RPO B2K Callaway Twin Turbo option (#100/400). It was previously owned by the former director of GM Performance, John Heinricy. It shows 51k miles on the odometer and is fitted with Dymag wheels. What really stands out about this auction is the amazing photography that shows off the Dark Blue Metallic paint.

With 7 days to go, the auction sits at $8,000 but will surely rise. While the conversion to an automatic transmission may have been a $6,500 option at the time, most people would rather the standard manual even it is was the 4+3 unit. The car is said to have won many awards and comes with a ton of documentation.

While the 89-91 B2K Callaway cars are the best due to the lower production numbers and higher power ratings, this 1988 certainly looks nice and has a good bit of prominence behind it. Expect to see the bids climb into the $30k range.

UPDATE: Sold for $63,000 on 8/19/20
